DAY 1

Explore

Welcome to Creede, Colorado!

Check in right next door to Creede Rep at The Creede Hotel, a National Historical Designated Property, or for a riverside experience head to Antlers Rio Grande Lodge located 5 miles past Creede toward Lake City. Coming in the camper? Mountain Views RV Park & Resort is the perfect spot to launch your Creede adventure.

Once downtown, explore the many shops, restaurants, galleries, and views in our unique mountain town.

Prepare

Don’t have the right gear or need to upgrade your mountain chic look? Head to San Juan Sports for all your needs, and grab a beverage at their Sunnyside Bar while you shop!

Eat

Enjoy everything from the casual vibe at Vida: Eat to Live, Coffee on the Fly, Kip’s Grill or Tommyknocker Tavern, to fine dining at The Creede Hotel & Restaurant next door to the Mainstage Theatre, or Antlers Riverside Restaurant for breathtaking views of the Rio Grande.

Imagine

Every summer since 1966, Creede Repertory Theatre has performed shows in rotating repertory and this year we’re celebrating our 60th season. See up to five different shows in one weekend!

Evening shows begin at 7pm, matinees at 1pm. Up for some laughs? Catch Boomtown! Improv Comedy on a new day and time – Sundays at 7pm beginning July 13!

DAY 2

Family

Each summer, CRT offers a variety of Day Camps for students of all ages and interests. Experience the fun and adventure of Alfred Hitchcock’s murder mystery The 39 Steps, recommended for ages 8 and up.

Sign up for a camp and prepare to play and learn!

Adventure

Book a fishing trip at Creede Guide & Outfitters. Even if you’ve never cast a fly rod, their guides will make it an unforgettable experience. Or reserve an ATV/UTV with Mountain Skillz and experience the spectacular views of the San Juan Mountains.

Catch a Show!

We don’t just perform at night. Creede Rep offers matinees several days a week. Creede Rep performs in town different spaces within blocks of each other: the historic Mainstage Theatre, and the intimate Ruth Humphreys Brown Theatre which opened in 2011.

On the Mainstage Theatre this season, catch the hilarious musical, Xanadu, based on the cult classic Universal Pictures film. Want some drama? Don’t miss the riveting Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson, about renowned astronomer Henrietta Leavitt.

DAY 3

Hike

Creede is nestled in 9% National Forest, offering a variety of hikes right outside your back door! Stop by the forest ranger station at 3rd and Main St. or pop into San Juan Sports for a variety of hikes right out your back door.

If you want to stay close to town, we recommend the Up-and-Over, which takes you to the beautiful spires above downtown. You can find the trailhead in the parking lot east of Downstream Gas & Mercantile.

Art

Creede might have more galleries per capita than any other city as well as being home to internationally acclaimed watercolor artist, Stephen Quiller. Long live the arts in Creede!

Sweet Music

You won’t want to miss one of the many concerts and events offered by the Creede Musical Arts Collective, featuring prominent artists from mutliple genres.

Then round out your trip with Tom Jones’ musical masterpiece, The Fantasticks, the first main-season musical produced in our intimate Ruth Humphreys Brown Theatre. Also stay tuned for some special celebratory events throughout the summer!

We hope you enjoyed your stay.

Come back again soon!
