Mountain Octopus NOMINATED FOR 2 HENRY AWARDS
The Colorado Theatre Guild has nominated our 2023 production of Mountain Octopus by Beth Kander for Best New Play and Kate Berry for Best Lead Actress in a Play.
CRT’s newly appointed Artistic Director, Emily Van Fleet, was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Musical for her role in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Arvada Center. CRT alumni also received nomintions: Christy Montour-Larson (CRT: August: Osage County, The Last Romance, Baskerville) for Best Director of Truth Be Told at Curious Theatre Company; Max Silverman (CRT: Steel Magnolias, The Royale, Baskerville) received two nominations for Best Sound Design; and Actor Torsten Hillhouse received a nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Play for Misery at Miners Alley Playhouse.
The 18th Annual Henry Awards will take place on Monday, July 29th, 2024 at the Lone Tree Arts Center in Lone Tree, Colorado and via livestream. This communal gathering and awards show celebrates artistic excellence during the past producing season and serves as one of the Colorado Theatre Guild’s annual fundraising events.
