You’ve heard the story!
In 1966 the Creede Jaycees and Jaycee-ettes put out a call to start a professional theatre in Creede, 12 students from the University of Kansas (KU) responded, and Creede Repertory Theatre was born. Since 1966, they have been CRT’s most avid supporters, biggest fans, and integral members of our community. This year, CRT is honored to announce The Founders’ Match, a $20,000 match for our August Campaign, brought to you by those who started it all.
What makes Creede Repertory Theatre so special? Part of it is our remote location; theatre art 9,000ft in the middle of the San Juan Mountains is a unique experience! But most importantly, it’s the people: the people who believed theatre in this mountain town was possible; the company members who bring our shows to life each season; the patrons who journey far and wide to experience this wonderful place; and the 35,000+ students impacted by our education programs each year, eager to become the next generation of theatre-makers and supporters.
From August 1st to September 2nd, take advantage of the Founders’ Match and double your impact on Creede Rep. Whether you can contribute $5, $500, or $5,000, your generous support helps us realize our mission to bring entertaining and thought-provoking theatre everywhere we go!
